How to make a Mummy:
Step 2: Then the arms and legs were wrapped separately. The Egyptians put amulets between the layers of wrapping to protect the body through the underworld. The amulet on the left is an "Isis knot" which protects the body. The one on the left is a "Plummet" amulet that will keep the person balanced in the next life.

After: A funeral is held for the dead person and the family mourns for the death. After the funeral a ritual called the "Opening of the Mouth" is held when the deceased is allowed to eat and drink again. The mummy and its coffin are finally placed inside a large stone sarcophagus in the tomb. Inside the tomb there has also been placed valuable objects for the journey to the afterlife.
